In my mind Gestures 1 is like a flock of birds all heading in the same direction to the same resting places, only to then head off to the next. But none of the birds are remotely like the others so their flight paths are all different, and yet there is a common pulse to their travels.

Eventually the sun sets and they all roost for the night, looking forward to the next days flocking. All the tracks were created in one pass, performed in real time on the ipad. The file was then imported into my main music program where some of the synthetic instruments were replaced with real ones and the piece was mixed.
